Hoofbeater - A Quick Review

October 15, 2008 · Print This Article

I’m not normally one for trying out gambling systems of any kind, but something about Hoofbeater Place Lays really caught my eye. I guess I was guilty of being drawn in by flashy advertising and big promises. Still: it does mean that I now get chance to provide to you my opinion on the whole thing. Read on.

Hoofbeater Place Lays is essentially a tipster service; the next day’s selections — along with the odds on which you should bet — are sent through by email the day before. I’ve heard of people using a bot to select the horse at the right time, but I just used Betfair’s SP option. It probably would be more economical to set up a bot to do it but i) I didn’t want to pay for one; and ii) I kind of like the idea that I had some semblance of control over the process!

The Hoofbeater service has been running since July of this year and the results are up on the website and, although they haven’t been independently verified, as I understand it, they are showing a profit.

The system costs £24.99 per month, but there is the offer of a two week trial so that you can check the selections so you might be able to make up your mind as to whether it is worth it before you shell out any cash.

Overall I am up, but not by much. I will keep monitoring the results my use of the Hoofbeater service. I really hope it does work out as the service seems pretty good and those behind it seem like stand up guys. They have even been offering free trials to some of the review sites: if that doesn’t spell out confidence in their own product then I don’t know what does!

    Hi, I own Hoofbeater.com
Since i started the service ive made a lot of changes.

The price is now very very cheap at £35 for 6 months or £50 a year.
I no longer give trials as it was too easy for people to cancel and then get another trial from another email address BUT i now proof sothere is no need for a trial and the price is dirt cheap now! ( will rise the more people sign up to protect odds etc)

There are now football bets included as well as a few other racing bets.

The reason its now cheaper is because people dont want to pay loads for a service thats in its early stages, and also because the place lays are now set at highest odds of 3.5, which results in not many bets a month, BUT the idea is to view them over the longterm.
However i could easily charge £30+ a month just for the footy lays alone which are storming ahead of other services that chage more for a month than i do for 6 months! (currently)

ALL bets are proofed ti the Secret betting club AND money maker review AND the racing tips are proofed to tippingleague.co.uk but you must apply the rules shown at the top of the results page on hoofbeater.com to the selections on Tippingleague.co.uk to get the official results.

The footy bets are proofed to tipexchange.co.uk, but unfortuanately they dont have a min or max odds function so you must ignore any bets over 8.0. I also give asian handicap lays but they dont have the option of adding those to there site either!

Hope this gives a bit more info on hoofbeater and thanks for reviewing me. Id be willing to give bettingdetective.com an extended period of time to review me further if they want, for free.

I forgot to say, the place lays are proofed under the name TripleD on tippingleague.co.uk, my higher odds lays are proofed under the name Hoofbeater.

The footy bets are proofed to tipexchange.co.uk under the name hoofbeater football. As i say ignore any over 8.0, also ignore any non englise matches as they were just a test to see how good i could find and use stats for foreign leagues but it didnt work out.

I now run footballsoccerbets.com which has replaced hoofbeater.com
Im much better at football and now have new selection methods for plenty of leagues not just english. Also proofed to SBC and a free indefinite trial is available to anyone interested. (see site).

I also still operate the hoofbacker racing system.

Got something to say?
