The Simple System – Really Very Simple!

A racing betting system that I found recently did actually intrigue me. I’m a little battle hardened to horse racing betting systems for two reasons: 1) I’ve seen everything there is to see in this field; and 2) very few of the betting systems I’ve come across are worth the price you pay for them. The Simple System looked a bit different because it is selling itself on its simplicity. I like simplicity, so I was willing to give The Simple System a go.
Just a quick note: don’t get The Simple System confused with Simple System horse food, or you might get something totally unexpected on your doorstep!

The system is based around picking favourites in three races every day. The races you choose are the key to the system’s success, and this is where it makes really simple to execute. In this sense it really is a great idea for beginners and those new to betting systems, betting or even just horse racing.

I understand that The Simple System claims a profit of 115 points from the 1st of January through to the 31st October; this isn’t bad at all. It has been said that this is a relatively small profit given the amount staked each day, and it might be. But at the end of the day a profit is a profit, and if you’re guaranteed a winner then surely it doesn’t matter how much you have to put down to get your profit.

If you’re willing to spend a little time on Betfair to make sure you get the best odds then the profits could probably be improved. This takes The Simple System out of the realms of true simplicity, though, so perhaps this just defeats its object!

Like so many other systems out there this can work on its day, and 10 months of profit is pretty impressive, but you just don’t know where the run of wins is going to end.
